Allora Parish History:

St Patrick's Parish, Allora, is a conservative, rural community which values the history of our area and the traditions of our faith, while striving to be open to the "signs of the times", and the call to renewal.

We seek to be a loving, forgiving, welcoming and reconciling community in which all feel accepted and valued; particularly the sick, the aged and the lonely.

We are active in promoting the Ecumenical Movement in our Parish, in our Diocese and in the wider Church and we try to support and encourage each other's spiritual growth so that we may live out our faith and Gospel values more fully.

Realizing that the Eucharist is the focal point of Parish life, we value the presence of our Parish Priest, whom we actively support and assist in the celebration of the Sunday Eucharist, and other liturgical events, together with all Parish initiatives, particularly Parish social activities which play an important part in promoting Christian and family ideals and values.

All parishioners are encouraged to recognize, develop and use their talents and gifts in ministering to others.
