Diocesan Pastoral Council

This group meets a minimum of 4 times in the year at various parishes across the diocese and makes many telephone calls and emails to keep abreast of the happenings in all the local communities.

Diocesan Pastoral Council:

The Diocesan Pastoral Council (DPC)is a body made up of committed people from the diocese who through a discernment process have taken a leadership role to listen, reflect and discern about the direction and formation of the diocesan community. This is achieved by exercising Pastoral Leadership in the Diocese with the Bishop in a collaborative, advisory and practical way. Also to call the Catholic people of the Diocese to participative action in relation to spiritual development, mission, policy and planning rather than act on their behalf.

The Diocesan Pastoral Council is in its 10th year of functioning. The current members are Phil Cash, Monica Gundry, Chris Johnson, Fr Jack Peard, Rod McCormack, Ann McNamara, Sue Birch, Bishop Bill Morris, Sue Englart, John Meneely.

Each council member has a number of Parishes for which they are the DPC contact to assist in the important process of networking across the diocese with the Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) being the primary channel for this communication process. We would encourage any discussion from individuals and or PPCs. Please choose your best contact from the list of the DPC members and their Parish:
